MX Player has noe Video Streaming Feature like Youtube, Hotstar and Amazon Prime

Times Internet (Owner of Times of India , Economic Times, Gaana.com ) has invested Rs 1,000 crore to acquire a majority stake in MX Player, the world’s largest local video platform, used to Play Videos in many Formats, as it prepares to enter Video streaming sector, taking on the likes of Netflix, Hotstar and Amazon in India.

MX Player, developed by South Korea-based app publisher J2 Interactive, has 350 million users in India, of whom 175 million use it every month, exceeding all other Video Streaming platforms in India.

MX Player will offer thousands of hours of premium, exclusive and original content from leading producers and publishers around the world. The service will be available across all major digital platforms in the next quarter, starting with web, iOS and Android platforms.

The video streaming service is investing in original content with a focus on high-quality Hindi and regional languages, apart from licensed premium content. MX Player plans to offer consumers more than 20 original shows and over 50,000 hours of premium content across all languages in the first year.

MX Player will continue to offer its offline video player features to existing users. “We are building a content experience with the quality of mainstream media, but designed specially and exclusively for Indian millennials that are digital-first.
